Description
TNGG160404L-S (0.4mm Corner radius)
"L" For left hand external tuning (Toward tail stock) and boring bars.
Precision ground sharp edge insert for low cutting force and good chip control.
Intended as a finishing insert but found to be popular for many materials and
applications such as slender shafts or thin wall cylinders, and even as a general
turning insert capable of good size cuts. Fast becoming a favourite.
Fine finish is achievable even at very low surface speeds and small depth of cut.
Use the "R" insert for external turning.
Use the "L" insert for boring or left hand external turning.
Choose 0.4 or 0.8 corner radius.
Use for all carbon and alloy steels, stainless steel, aluminium, copper
brass and even cast iron (so my customers tell me)
